Mission

 The Community Mediation Center of Rhode Island provides mediation services and training to individuals, families and organizations throughout Rhode Island.  We are committed to the process of empowering parties to express their underlying needs, interests and concerns, as well as identifying mutually acceptable solutions.  Our diverse, trained volunteers will reflect the communities served and offer affordable mediation services to help parties resolve disputes positively, utilizing a win-win framework, which contributes to successful implementation of solutions

Vision

The Community Mediation Center of Rhode Island will become recognized for the high quality of our training and mediation services.  We will work to increase peaceful resolution of conflict and decrease violence throughout the state.  We will raise public awareness of the many values of mediation and encourage its use to address a broad variety of public and private disputes in a confidential, safe and empowering process.
